Why it is important

Our people are our most important asset. We strive for excellence and continuous improvement in workplace practices and culture to promote a positive, harmonious and productive environment for all.

Our management approach

Ramsay is recognised for its commitment to employees through professional development and fostering of a special culture known as The Ramsay Way. The Ramsay Way focuses on ‘people caring for people’ and recognises that our people are the key to our success. The Ramsay Way means that, through our operations and through our policies and practices, Ramsay can make a genuine attempt to improve the quality of life of our employees, their families, the local community and society at large.

Ramsay teams should work in an environment that is receptive and flexible. We want our facilities to be led by competent and experienced managers, with an ‘open door’ policy for doctors and staff. Ramsay empowers local facility managers to develop productive working relationships with our people, doctors and other stakeholders. We pride ourselves on the relationships we have built with these groups across the organisation. Our internal policies and processes aim to provide our people at all levels with career expansion, training and development opportunities. We invest in engagement and recognition and are keen to develop a global pipeline of talent, such as through our global Ramsay Leadership Academy.
